Vendor Code of Conduct

Purpose

The Marketplace exists to promote exceptional handmade jewellery and support skilled artisans. Vendors are expected to maintain high standards of craftsmanship, professionalism, and integrity.

1. Authenticity

Vendors must sell products that are genuinely handmade, handcrafted, or significantly created by the Vendor.

Mass-produced, factory-made, dropshipped, or imported products intended primarily for resale are prohibited.

2. Product Quality

Vendors must ensure that all products:

• Are accurately represented.
• Meet reasonable quality standards.
• Are safe for their intended use.
• Are free from known defects.

The Marketplace reserves the right to review and remove products that do not meet these standards.

3. Honest Representation

Vendors must accurately describe:

• Materials used
• Precious metal content
• Gemstones and treatments
• Dimensions and weights
• Manufacturing methods

Misleading descriptions are strictly prohibited.

4. Intellectual Property

Vendors may only list products, images, and content that they own or have permission to use.

Copying another maker’s designs, photographs, branding, or product descriptions is prohibited.

5. Professional Communication

Vendors must:

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries.
• Communicate respectfully.
• Resolve issues professionally.

Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or deceptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

6. Order Fulfilment

Vendors are expected to:

• Manufacture and dispatch products within advertised timeframes.
• Keep customers informed of delays.
• Provide tracking information where available.

Repeated fulfilment failures may result in account suspension.

7. Compliance

Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, product safety, and intellectual property laws.

8. Marketplace Authority

The Marketplace owner retains final authority regarding:

• Product approval
• Vendor approval
• Product removal
• Marketplace quality standards
• Interpretation and enforcement of this Code

Failure to comply may result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
